The Bison Cabin is an amazing vacation spot. Nestled among 140 beautiful acres, it is located in the heart of the Mission Valley on the Flathead Indian Reservation. Each room offers endless mountain or ranch views giving our visitors inspirational enjoyment. Enjoy one of our artist retreats (knitting, painting, weaving) or bring the family along to enjoy some of the fun activities around the ranch. We offer educational experiences as we work the ranch and there are numerous seasonal off ranch activities nearby for your enjoyment.

Ranch experiences coined "Agritourism" are broadly defined as involving any agriculturally-based operation or activity that brings visitors to a farm or ranch. Agritourism was made popular in Italy and is slowly taking a hold in the United States. Agritourism can include a wide variety of activities, including buying produce direct from a farm store, feeding animals, or merely staying on a ranch or farm.

Our cabin allows Black Wolf Ranch to highlight the ranching lifestyle to a wide variety of tourists. Allowing visitors to experience Montana, see local attractions, participate in ranch activities if desired, or merely enjoy the relative quiet of country living.

Located at the back of the Cabin the kitchen is part of a custom open-plan design that includes the living and dining areas. The kitchen is equipped with all the modern conveniences and features functionality, with handmade Amish cabinets and stainless steel appliances. This social space encourages casual interaction, and provides a stunning view of the Bison Range - even when washing the dishes! Guests can relax and enjoy the panoramic views, read a good book off the back porch, play games or eat outdoors. A large gas grill and patio makes another unique cooking experience.

The open plan of the cabin has the dining room overlooking the kitchen and private views of the Bison Range. The country table is big enough to seat six people and opens to a covered back porch that is 10 X 42 feet long. It boasts views of a 60 acre field that is almost always full of the local wildlife, including deer and hawks and eagles. Enjoy your meal indoors or out!

We are especially pleased with our living room, it boasts large oversized furniture that is perfect to curl up on and enjoy looking out towards the Mission Mountains and our girls alpaca barn and the little boys. Enjoy wrapping yourself up in a luxurious alpaca blanket while sipping hot chocolate and reading your favorite book! The large coffee table makes the perfect place for a game of Alpaca-Monopoly or a card game!

Our entry way offers your first look at the cabin and hopefully makes you feel at home right away. The furnishings are comfortable, and fit right into the surroundings. Our ranch motto is Welcome to Luxury, Welcome to Alpaca…..

The master suite offers comfort. The large king sized bed looks south towards the horse pasture and a side porch. You can lounge on the chaise and look out over the Mission Mountains to the east, or enjoy a quiet morning outside on the deck. The master bath is huge, and features cabinets made by the Amish, a large walk in shower and walk in closet. The heated floor make the bathroom cozy during the winter months!

Our guest room is located upstairs at the top of the custom made Amish staircase. It features, a cozy setting overlooking the Mission Mountains and has a private sitting area with double windows looking south over the horse pasture and towards Mission Creek.

Our Loft is above the Family room, it has a large screen television with DirecTV and Blueray player. We have an overstuffed couch and extra large chair that makes a fantastic movie night for the family!

Our cabin can sleep up to six people with two enjoying the loft sleeping area. This small space is great for the kids. An iron day bed with a pull out trundle makes sleeping a breeze.

Peak Season (June 15 through September 15) is $290 to $300 a night with a 3 night minimum; or $1740 to $1800 a week

Shoulder Season (May 1 through June 14 & September 16 through October 31) is $250 a night with a 3 night minimum; or $1500 a week

Low Season (November 1 to April 30) is $200 to $175 a night with a 3 night minimum; or $1200 to $1050 a week.

Ask about extended stays. Deposit: 50% at booking; balance is 30 days prior to arrival Cancellations: must be received 45 days prior to arrival or are non-refundable 75% of non-refundable deposit may be applied to another stay if used within 1 year.
